There’s been a lot of chat about ChatGPT in the press and faced with the prospect of writing an article about it we thought we’d take the opportunity to outsource the writing of this article...we mean have a ‘virtual’ sit down with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT (Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer) is a large language model chatbot developed by OpenAI, which has made the headlines since it was launched in November 2022. Put simply, it is trained on massive amounts of data and uses artificial intelligence to learn and accurately respond to questions and to do tasks such as responding to essays, composing music or even writing a law firm’s newsletter articles. If you believe the hype, sometimes it does this better than humans!

We conducted a short interview with ChatGPT to ask it a few questions about the use of ChatGPT in the workplace and the potential legal risks. Please see the unedited response below.
