With over 20 years of experience in the legal field, Barry joins GQ|Littler from international law firm DAC Beachcroft, where he was Partner and led their Dublin employment team. Barry’s expertise in employment law spans across various sectors with significant experience including the financial services and tech sectors.
Throughout his career, Barry has gained a wealth of experience advising boards and partnering with senior management to resolve sensitive and urgent disputes. Barry has also developed specialist knowledge of internal processes, as well as advising on the employment aspects of business transactions.
His expertise in the Ireland employment law arena is recognised in the Legal 500 Europe, Middle East & Africa. He has been described by Chambers Europe as "extremely proactive and accessible”, "particularly strong in the discreet resolution of sensitive disputes", and that he “delivers his advice and guidance with a flair for commercial considerations". His solutions were described by clients as "robust, fair on both parties and immune to challenge.”
He was recently lauded in the Business Today Lawyer Awards 2023 as one of the most Outstanding Employment Lawyers in Ireland.
