GQ publishes guide to Brexit for international clients

GQ Employment Law has just published a short guide to Brexit and its potential effects on UK employment law.  Entitled ‘Brexit in a nutshell: what you need to know’, and intended primarily for international clients, the guide offers a brief overview of what has happened since the referendum in June, and the next steps for the UK in leaving the EU.

It then goes on to look at the likely impact on UK employment and labour laws, and reviews the most controversial EU employment laws that are currently implemented in the UK, including TUPE regulations and the bankers’ bonus cap.  It concludes with some predictions from GQ’s international projects team on the most likely outcomes.

Partner Darren Isaacs who works in GQ’s international projects team says, “We’ve produced this short guide in response to a certain amount of confusion about Brexit among our international client base.   Overseas businesses are keen to understand the likely impact and, while there are no certainties, we believe that the changes in employment regulations are likely to be relatively limited and change will be slow.”
