Surge in disability discrimination cases at employment tribunals

Companies are noticing an increase in workers willing to lodge mental health issue claims in employment tribunals. This follows the abolition of hearing fees and has caused a rise in disability discrimination cases.

Paul Quain, employment lawyer at GQ|Littler, said: “There is some anecdotal evidence that claims related to mental health issues, including stress and anxiety, are on the rise.”
